Des Moines Vintage on Instagram

We encourage our customers to follow us on Instagram @desmoines.vintage. While we offer a lot more now than antique books, we started this business primarily selling beautiful antique books manufactured prior 1920. 

We have been enjoying the opportunity to be a part of the IG antique and vintage community doing live sales on Instagram. We bring our newest inventory items to customers during live sales offering a first view and these items. They can be claimed live often at a reduced rate. We announce our upcoming live sale dates in our Bio on Instagram and try to advertising the date and time on our Instagram Stories and in a link on our home page. Occasionally we are able to offer weekend and evening live dates. 

We also offer quick claims in our Instagram stories. Often we will post inventory available for "quick claim" by posting photos or a video with the claim price, plus shipping. To claim the item you would direct message us the item in Instagram and "Claim" it. We offer a variety of payment options through Instagram including venmo, cash app, credit card, apple pay, bank transfer and paypal. Our shipping is fairly quick with Instagram, just like with online purchases, and we offer the option of an 'open box' were you may keep items stored with us to fill a box with future purchases for a limited amount of time such as up to 6 weeks.

Our Instagram reels will often have videos of new products available for claim with or without pricing. Reels with inventory pricing are available for quick claim to the first person who contacts us by DM or claims the item in the "comments". Customers are always welcome to inquire with us by DM about availability and pricing if they see items pictured on Instagram. 

We also have a lot of inventory that is not available on Instagram or in our Shop. We encourage customers to reach out to us directly to inquire about special requests or items they may be looking for. We are happy to send pictures and videos of what we have to meet your needs.
