Pictured is the Carolina Scentless Philadelphus. Purchase this digital image of an antique hand-colored engraving, published by S Curtis around July 1, 1812, Plate 147. A desirable shrub at the time of the early 19th century with larger flowers of a more pure white. Native to Carolina, introduced to the country before the year 1738. Flowers(ed) in June and July. Later dispersed across Europe including the Dutch gardens. It may have originated in Japan. The image is a high resolution Tiff file for digital use, prints, scrapbooking, cards, etc. Great for printed sizes 8x10 and 5x7. It could be cropped for a 4x6".
