Ben - Hur, Antique Warne’s Star Series

An antique edition of Ben - Hur or The Days of the Messiah by Lew Wallace. Published by Frederick Warne Co in their Warne’s Star Series from the 1880’s (no date). The book is not dated but other books from this collection have been dated from the 1880's. The red cloth cover has light soiling and bright gilt title block. There is a small discoloration spot on the lower cover. There are white discoloration spots along the cover and backstrip connection. There is a large white discoloration spot on the back cover with a pressed center emblem. The number 91 is on the lower right corner. The right endpaper is decorated but heavily tanned. There is one small foxing spot on the title page. The pages are crisp and mostly white with an occasional small light foxing spot or small light soil swipe. The back endpaper is heavily tanned. 458 pages, size: 7".

Édition ancienne de Ben-Hur ou Les Jours du Messie de Lew Wallace. Publiée par Frederick Warne Co dans leur série Warne’s Star, dans les années 1880 (sans date). Le livre n'est pas daté, mais d'autres livres de cette collection ont été datés des années 1880. La couverture en toile rouge présente de légères salissures et un cartouche doré brillant. Une petite tache de décoloration est présente sur le plat inférieur. Des taches blanches sont présentes le long de la couverture et de la bordure arrière. Das Buch ist nicht datiert, andere Bücher dieser Sammlung wurden jedoch aus den 1880er Jahren datiert. Der rote Leineneinband ist leicht verschmutzt und hat einen goldfarbenen Titelblock. Der untere Einband weist einen kleinen Verfärbungsfleck auf. Entlang der Verbindung zwischen Einband und Rückenstreifen befinden sich weiße Verfärbungen. Auf dem hinteren Einband befindet sich ein großer weißer Verfärbungsfleck mit einem geprägten Emblem in der Mitte. Die Nummer 91 befindet sich in der unteren rechten Ecke. Das rechte Vorsatzblatt ist verziert, aber stark gebräunt. Auf der Titelseite befindet sich ein kleiner Stockfleck.
