Dent & Company. Each volume has three illustrations. There are some horizontal lines along the outer edge of the back cover. There is a light scratch or blemish on the backstrip under the author's name. The outer edge of the pages are deckled or uneven. There is moderate foxing on the first title page prior to the main title page. There is heavy tanning on the main title page. There is foxing on the frontispiece illustration. There is foxing on the tissue opposite the illustrations that has bled on the illustrations. The pages are moderately to heavily tanned throughout. The pages are crisp and intact throughout.
