The Doré Bible Gallery. Published around the 1880’s by Henry Altemus. Profusely illustrated in black and white by Gustave Doré. Size: 12 x 9.75”, 100 pages. There is some shelf-wear and discoloration on the upper and lower backstrip. There are a few pages with small tears on the edge. There is one page with horizontal bent creases (pictured). The pages are soft and intact. There is darked gilt on the foredge. A pre-title page has an inscription dated 1888. The hinges are good.
