An antique French Chardons ironstone plate with red or bordeaux transferware decoration in a thistle pattern. The plate has a decorative border. The plate has a slight crackle glaze and is ivory or beige in color. There are two pressed characters on the back and the Chardons manufacturing stamp. There are some superficial marks from use that are visible from the side view in the last picture. There are no chips or cracks on the plate. Size: 8.5". Provenance: France.
