French Country Hand Painted Clock Face

A decorative antique French painted clock face from around the late 19th century. The large clock face is hand painted with roman numerals and a French country-scape. The upper clock depicts two young people in the country near farm animals and a shed or barn. There may be a city painted far in the backdrop. There is floral decoration on the clock face. The clock has patina and little blemishes in all corners / areas. The clock can be hung from the center. There is an artist signature on the back. The clock face is made of heavy steel. There is a large blemish around the clock hole near the number "1". Size: 15.75 x 11". Date of origin is unknown.

Cadran d'horloge français ancien et décoratif, datant de la fin du 
XIXe siècle. Son grand cadran est peint à la main avec des chiffres 
romains et un paysage champêtre français. L'horloge supérieure 
représente deux jeunes gens à la campagne près d'animaux de ferme 
et d'un hangar ou d'une grange. Une ville pourrait être peinte 
au loin en arrière-plan. Le cadran est orné d'une décoration florale. 
L'horloge est patinée et présente de légères imperfections dans 
tous les coins. Elle peut être suspendue par le centre. La signature 
de l'artiste figure au dos. Le cadran est en acier épais. 
Une importante imperfection est présente autour du trou de l'horloge, 
près du chiffre « 1 ». Dimensions : 40 x 28 cm. Date d'origine inconnue.
