The Poetical Works of John Milton with Memoir and Notes, Complete Edition. Published by Excelsior Publishing House, New York in the late 19th Century (no date). The Contents include Paradise Lost, Paradise Regained, Samson Agonistes, L'Allegro, Sonnets, Poems, Psalms, and more. The cover is very good with embossed leaf decoration and a gilt cover block. The backstrip says Excelsior Edition at the bottom in black with leaf decoration and a gilt title block, "Milton". The back cover is plain maroon with two small puncture wholes near the back cover / backstrip connection. The endpapers are decorated with a tan leaf motif. There is a signature on a pre-title page. There is a black and white frontispiece illustration. The title page is heavily tanned and the lower right corner of the title page is missing. The lower corner of page 1 bends upward. There is a decorative red border on the interior pages. The interior pages have small fine print and are heavily tanned throughout. There are one or two additional illustrations. 563 pages, 7.5 x 5.25"
