Pictures and Royal Portraits with Engravings

Pictures and Royal Portraits, folio style edition. Published by Blackie and Son in the late 19th Century. "English and Scottish History". Division IV, Price 8s, London. Size: 12.35 x 9.15". The book beings with an engraving of Charles I, from the picture by Vandyke, engraved by Bourne, then the Opening Scene of the Great Civil War engraving. There is an engraving of Oliver Cromwell. The text begins at page 145, possibly why this is called division 4. There are several other engravings included with scenes. 

The cover edges are bumped with under-board exposed. There is darkening and soiling on the edges of the cover. The center cover decoration is gilded. The backstrip is red cloth binding. The back cover has soil spots and the edges are bumped. There is heavy tanning on the endpapers. The engravings are tanned with some fingerprints in the margins. This item is in used antique condition.
