Satsuma Vase, 6", Japan

An ornate Satsuma vase, likely from the Meiji period (1868-1912). The vase is hand painted porcelain and depicts males, possibly Disciples and a dragon. The dragon is raised on the vase and the white dragon head is protruding above a gold crest. The vase is ornately adorned with gilt decoration, black, green and white. There is blue water in the background. There is red on the dragon pictured. There is a second textured dragon near the bases on one side. The base has characters and is very smooth. There is a crack on the rim (pictured). The crack is not loose or unstable. Size: 6.25 x 3.75". Provenance: Japan.

華やかな薩摩焼の花瓶。明治時代（1868～1912年）のものと思われます。
手描きの磁器で、男性像（おそらく弟子）と龍が描かれています。
龍は花瓶の上に飾られ、白い龍の頭が金の紋章の上に突き出ています。
花瓶は黒、緑、白の金箔で装飾され、
華やかに彩られています。背景には青い水が描かれています。
龍には赤い模様が描かれています。片側の台座近くには、
質感のある龍がもう1匹描かれています。台座には文字が刻まれており、
非常に滑らかです。縁にひび割れがあります（写真参照）。
このひび割れは緩んだり不安定になったりするものではありません。
